Travelling is always enjoyable and its even more enjoyable when your travel experience starts off stress-free from the airport itself. I’ve always secretly envied business class travellers who saunter off to the premium lounges to enjoy some food and wine and relax before their flight without crowding with the tired, cranky masses flooding the airport. So naturally, I was thrilled when I got a chance to experience the Plaza Premium Lounge in LCCT before my flight. I was rather surprised to see that the KL budget terminal had a premium lounge for their travellers as I thought everything would be low-cost and no-frills. Nevertheless, it was nice to know there’s somewhere quiet to wait in especially since the LCCT is usually so crowded and noisy.

Although I drive, I’ve never been good at renewing my road tax. Usually, a quick call to the salesman who sold me my car gets my insurance and road tax done in a jiffy. However, recently, I had to renew J’s road tax and as the usual salesman who helps me had left the company, I had no choice but to do it the hard way – on my own! I remembered some advertisements some time back on MyEG, an online service linked to JPJ that allows you to renew your road tax online. Perfect! I have to admit that I’m a bit of a sucker for easy weight loss and toning methods. I don’t like exercise so if I can find something that’ll help me exercise easily, I’m all for trying it! So when the famous FitFlops hit our stores, I was really keen on trying them out until I saw their price tag! They were a whopping RM268 and up! Anyway, several months later, I succumbed thanks to some Isetan vouchers and came away poorer but the proud owner of this famous pair of flip flops, touted by Oprah as the absolute must-have for Summer 2008! The recent announcement of the RM50 credit card tax in the 2010 Budget certainly did not go well with the general public. I’ve been calling up banks to check how I may cancel my cards and most of them don’t sound very surprised when I tell them the reason behind it. I’ve been trying to redeem my points before cancelling my cards and got pretty frustrated my thousands of points amounted to some plastic containers I could have purchased for less than RM100 in the stores!
