ya… i went during Hari Raya– everything was too expensive– but Tiger Airways was cheap… yeap, definitely no-brainer.

Stayed in the place where Kenny Sia stayed.. was supposed to go with my cousin.. ended up paying SGD50 per room… cool, eh?

hei.. yeah.. i took the same Tiger Airway flights..

however, i didn’t have to pay the extra credit card fees as I had an australian issued debit card.

Hi Swee – No, I was very pleasantly surprised! It left on time and even arrived slightly before the ETA in Singapore. Flight was pleasant and they had a good inflight magazine as well but it was a very short flight so maybe too short to have any problems!

Hi again John! The reason I took Tiger was because their fares actually worked out cheaper than the luxury coaches, perhaps due to the zero fare offered. Plus I liked the fact that I did not have to get up and down at the Customs checkpoints which taking a coach requires. Hope you enjoy your trip to Singapore!

Hi John – Thanks for your mail! I was pretty impressed with Tiger Airways and the 2 hour wait at the airport was not too painful. With SGD200 you should be able to stay in a pretty nice hotel around Orchard. Try Parkroyal, Hyatt or Royal Plaza on Scotts. I’ve stayed at those before and found them pretty pleasant and very close to the shopping!

And oh yeah I forgot to add the point about whether to take a plane or luxury bus there i.e. Aeroline or Odyssey…

Bus return for 2 costs : [(RM95 x 2) x 2] = RM380
Tiger Airways return for 2 costs : RM228
+ add RM 20 p/person return for bus from KL Sentral to LCCT : RM40

Thus Bus: RM380 va Flight : RM268

Hahaha I guess taking Tiger is a no-brainer then eh? If not for Tiger’s zero I was gonna take either coach…

Hi Elle,

Your review was perfect as I’m currently searching for a KL-SIN flight and came across their zero fare promo. Airasia’s sales end today but their zero fare times are at weird hours.

So yeah I guess you would recommend taking Tiger Airways? Where did you stay in SG may i ask? I’m looking for a place convenient to go t the shops on Orchard and can only afford less than SGD200 per night/or even less than that if possible! I want a nice well managed hotel to escape for the weekend with my better half :p
Any recommendations?

Hope this isn’t too troubling!
