Do you like facials? I definitely do! There’s nothing more relaxing I find then lying back, falling asleep and having a trained beautician work on your face and magically waking up to beautifully clear, soft and dewy skin that hopefully lasts till your next facial!

A new salon I recently paid a visit to (for a look-see, not facial) was the Lancome Beauty Institute in Bangsar Village 2. I have always passed it and it did look a little intimidating from the outside as there never seemed to be anyone in there. However, I was wrong for there is a hi-tech beauty salon waiting to be discovered upstairs if you dare venture in. Read on for my review below.

Facials At The Lancome Beauty Institute

The Lancome Beauty Institute offers both facials and body treatments with their signature Lancome products. If this is your first time here, they recommend beginning with a thorough skin diagnosis with their own Lancome Diagnos Expert machine, a contraption with all kinds of tools for them to assess your skin texture and determine the most suitable treatment for you.

Once the right treatment has been established, you will then be ushered into their high tech treatment rooms. Each room features a comfy chair that transforms to a bed (not ala Transformers! :) ) with a touch of a button. What I found really interesting about their rooms was their emphasis of the multi sensory experience during your facials. Each room is swathed in white curtains to block out external disturbances while soft music plays. Even the music has been specially selected to ensure complete relaxation. The most amazing feature of their treatment rooms is their special mood lighting which will change according to the treatments. This colour treatment is designed to put both your mind and body in complete harmony.

Range Of Lancome Perfumes and Make Up For Touch Up

What I liked about the Lancome Beauty Institute was their range of perfume and make up available for you to touch up with after your facial or beauty treatment.

All Lancome perfumes are artfully displayed in a recessed ledge. I was glad to see my favourite Lancome Miracle there! :)

As for make-up, treat yourself to a great range of Lancome colours to ensure you look beautiful after your treatment. Its a great touch especially if you are headed back to the office or for a nice dinner after your facial.
