Thanks to ParisB who scored me an invite and the wonderful people at Lancome (Thanks Amanda & Kelly!), I spent yesterday’s sweltering afternoon aboard the Lancome Mobile Lash Lab to check out their newest Lancome Oscillation Mascara with the beauty bunch – Kahani and Syen, Emmagem, Beetrice, Connie and Plue! :) It was a great girly meet up and a chance to test the new Lancome vibrating mascara I had heard so much about! So, how does it score in Pink Elle Reviews? Read on for my review of the Lancome Oscillation Mascara below!

What Is The Hype About The New Lancome Oscillation Mascara?

Imagine what a mascara that oscillates 7,000 times per minute can do to your lashes? It magically curls, extends, seperates and multiplies your lashes to volumise and extend them so you can achieve beautiful lashes naturally without even using a curler! The secret of the oscillation technique means your lashes get coated up to 360 degrees, as compared to conventional mascara tips.

Does The Lancome Oscillation Mascara Really Work?

During Lancome’s test session on a model (who had amazingly long eyelashes I’m so envious of!), I saw the Lancome Oscillation in action and it really does create amazing length and volume similar to that false eyelashes try to achieve.

lancome2 by you.

Yes, those are her REAL eyelashes!

If you have worn false eyelashes before, you will know the pain of trimming them, getting just enough glue on the side, curling them then having to deal with the trouble of removing them. It feels great to know that you can opt to go fully natural and yet have nice lashes to accentuate your eyes.

I was quite impressed on the effect it had on my short eyelashes and how it did make my eyes look that little bit bigger. Anything that works for stubby lashes are indeed a winner in my books! :)

Using The Lancome Oscillation Mascara

The mascara handle comes with a tiny little button which you press to activate the oscillation. It is recommended that you press it only when you are ready to apply it at the base of your lashes to avoid wasting the battery inside.

Honestly, it does take some getting used to. When I initially tried it out, I found that I tended to press the button a little too hard which made it harder to control and some messy eyelashes. I personally also found starting from the base a bit hard as my lashes were not curled beforehand which meant it was harder to reach the base. However, with some practice, I did manage to properly apply it on both my eyes and although the effect wasn’t as va-voom as when the Lancome make up artist did a trial for me, it does give nice lashes while saving me one step in my make-up routine! I like that it did not leave a heavy or sticky feeling on my lashes which I faced with some mascaras. The mascara is easily removed with just warm water which is a big plus point as I have had bad experiences with mascaras that took ages to come off and left me looking a little panda-like.
