Villa Danielli is an elegant Italian restaurant located in Sheraton Hotel Kuala Lumpur. An award winning restaurant, it is uniquely designed after a rustic Italian home complete with colourful plates and a tiled floor in warm Mediterranean. Do be careful when you enter as the place is quite dark.

One unique feature of the restaurant is their interesting mural done on the recessed ceiling in the middle of the restaurant. Its definitely something interesting to feast your eyes on before you feast on the food!

The fare at Villa Danieli is delicious and hearty Italian food ranging from pastas, pizzas and yummy main meals. A bread basket containing a variety of warm breads will be placed on your table when you arrive. Mop it up with the saucers of balsamic vinegar and olive oil as a delicious appetizer! The foccacia is especially good as it is so hard to get good foccacia in KL!

There is a host of mains to choose from depending on your preference. The squid ink pasta is one of their signature items and they are generous with their seafood in it. Just be sure not to smile after eating that as your teeth will probably be black from the squid ink! :p

Another dish which is noteworthy is their braised beef cheeks which feature tender beef cheeks in a delicious stew. Their roast duck is equally good and generous with a whole leg and several thick slices of duck breast that is really nice and tender. I truly enjoyed it considering that I’m not a fan of duck! The Wood Oven Baked Fillet of Cod at Villa Danieli has won some rave reviews from floggers however I found it a bit fishy and oily which made it hard to finish. However, it would probably suit seafood fans and fish lovers.

Villa Danieli will be doing a Valentine’s Day special menu at RM168++ per person which will feature a 5 course meal paired with a glass of sparkling wine together with chocolates and flowers for the lady. The candlelight on each table and dim lighting in the restaurant will make it a nice romantic night out this Valentine’s Day! J
