Best In-Flight Services By Singapore Airlines

I have always enjoyed flying with Singapore Airlines. They have a superb service that often far surpasses any other airlines I have taken before – both Asian and European airlines. Although their fares may seem a little pricey at times, they often do great flight promotions where you can get great airline fares to Europe or around Asia. I also like the fact that they have introduced an all-in pricing fare which means whatever price you see is what you have to pay, including all taxes and surcharges. This way, travellers would not be unpleasantly surprised when they are told that they have to pay an additional thousand or so in taxes. All Singapore Airlines flights, except for the shuttle flights between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, come with videos and entertainment on demand. This allows you to watch your favourite movies and play your favourite games whenever you feel like it.
Singapore Airlines has this great service of handing out little menu booklets at the start of every flight where passengers can choose from Asian and Western meal options. This service used to be available previously on Malaysia Airlines but they have since scrapped it, probably due to cost savings! What surprised me was that the meal options for each type of cuisine offered different types of appetisers and desserts. Usually, airlines often have an option only for the main meal as it in their cost interests to serve the same appetisers and desserts. Desserts on Singapore Airlines is often a stick or box of yummy premium ice cream such as Haagen Daz!
It truly lends a new name to inflight dining!
I have personally encountered very bad service on Malaysia Airlines before with rude stewardesses and being rudely told that there was no snack available when I missed the dinner service. Hence, I was so pleasantly surprised by the fantastic service the head stewardess gave me despite being in economy class. I had fallen asleep and missed their breakfast service. However, when she saw that I was up, she came by to ask if I was hungry and wanted anything to eat. I requested for some instant noodles and she came with a full tray including a muffin, fruits and a bun and told me she included all those as the muffin was rather nice that morning! Where else can you find service such as this?
Given a choice of any airline, I would choose Singapore Airlines above all airlines and I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

[...] was told that there wasn’t even any sandwiches, just biscuits! What a far cry from the super service I was given on Singapore Airlines and their delicious Nissin Cup [...]

Their seat offerings and technology and cabin is definitely a leader amongst all other airlines. But I beg to differ with their steward/stewardesses. They are clumsy (always spilling drinks, luckily not on me), cold (can definitely tell they are talking from a memorized script, the facial expression and tone was a giveaway) and lousy problem solvers (don’t know how to handle the elderly’s sometimes quirky questions).
MH crew were very warm (mingling with passengers) and amazing problem solvers though the cabin/seat/meal offerings can be limited.
