Eucerin White Solution Whitening Extra Treatment Fluid
The sun can be a very damaging agent to your skin and hastens the aging process. It is always recommended to use sunscreen whenever you go outdoors, especially on the delicate skin of your face. I am a firm believer of sunscreen and never fail to use it as part of my morning routine. I was a user of L’oreal UV Perfect Fluid Protector SPF50 for a while. I later switched to Biotherm Sunfitness as I found L’oreal had a tendency of making my face shiny.
Since I use sunscreen everyday, I was really shocked when my sis told me that she could see some small pigmentation marks appearing on my skin. Fair skinned people tend to be prone to pigmentation due to exposure to the sun but I thought my constant use of sunblock would have eliminated this likelihood. It was then that I learnt that sunblock can actually be rendered useless if it has been kept for too long! So I could have been applying it, thinking it was doing its job when it was acting as nothing more than a moisturizer!
Sis recommended a new sunscreen she has been trying – Eucerin White Solution Whitening Extra Treatment Fluid SPF40.
It comes in a pretty and sleek white 50ml pump bottle and is part of Eucerin’s whitening products range. It claims to repair accumulated dark spots, dull and damaged skin and strengthen sensitive skin with its cell-protecting Vitamin E. As a sunscreen, it contains Tinosorb S and Titanium Dioxide which have been proven to be highly effective in blocking the sun’s aging rays. Unlike my previous sunblocks, this contains SPF40 which I believe should be sufficient for our tropical weather and radiation emmitted by our computer screens and office lighting.
It is interesting to note that Eucerin White Solution is essentially a moisturiser which contains SPF to protect the skin against the sun. Hence, it can actually be used as both a moisturiser and sunscreen without having to apply one on top of the other.
Eucerin White applies easily on my face and tends to feel much lighter than my previous sunscreens. The ones I used to use often felt like a layer on top of the skin which becomes oily throughout the day. However, with Eucerin White, the moisturiser is absorbed quickly and easily and I noticed that my skin did not have its usual afternoon shine!
I like Eucerin White for its lightness on my skin. I don’t get that feeling of my pores being clogged which I sometimes got with thicker sunscreens. I also love the fact that it is fragrance free. Two little pumps are enough for me to cover my whole face which makes it more economical as well!
A 50ml bottle retails for RM66+ and can be easily found in any Guardian or Watson pharmacies. Hopefully, with prolonged use, the first signs of pigmentation that have started appearing on my face can be controlled!

Hi Simonne!
I found my in The Guardian at Ikano Power Centre. However, I believe the bigger chains in Midvalley or KLCC should have a decent range too! Do check it out while the Guardian sales are still on!

Can I use eucerin white solution SPF 40 as a sun block after I apply eucerin anti-pigment fluid as I have freckles/pigmentation on the face.

Hi Eve,
I’ve never tried the eucerin anti-pigment fluid but it should be fine
