I think the genuine Garra Rufas are the one that looks like a sucker fish. The fake ones look like tilapias and they have small teeth unline the real ones.

I think they are fake! I swear I cud feel their teeth biting off my skin. They actually “injured” the skin around my right foot. I suspected something amiss seeing the fishes so big but I already paid for the so called treatment so I just went ahead with it. I think people didn’t think twice of going to Kenko because of its location. Most people won’t suspect places like that cud actually provide fake treatment. Plus, the people who work there are very unprofessional. Will never ever go there for any treatment, ever!

I’m really not sure. However, I highly suspect that their fish aren’t real as I notice that the real Garra Rufa look rather different.

The real Garra Rufa tend to nibble with small sucking bites while the ones in Kenko felt rather painful.

Kenko is currently using Oreochromis niloticus (Nile Tilapia) but all that will soon change as ppl like yourself get more educated about the subject and the real Garra rufa become more available.

we’re talking about the garra ruffa fish and most ppl who went to Kenko says they don’t feel any different. However this is maybe bcoz those r not real garra ruffa fish!? after I read your blog.
