I was in 1 Utama Shopping Centre last weekend and was lucky enough to witness the special launch of the brand new 2008 Honda Accord. The Honda has always been a very popular household name amongst Malaysians who have been using it for the past 32 years. So it is exciting to find that they too have started to move together with the times with their new 8th generation model.

I personally didn’t really like the previous model they had but I have to say that this new 2008 Honda Accord is a gorgeous beauty! It comes in a sleek and sporty body with beautiful lines and curves. It is sleek and sporty enough to appeal to all kinds of drivers who are a wonderful driving experience in a beautiful bodykit.

The interior was amazingly roomy and spacious when I sat in it. No wonder Honda claimed this to be their longest, tallest and broadest car to date! The seats were luxuriously furnished in butter soft leather or fabric and are firm, wide and comfortable. I was really impressed with the dashboard which resembled a cockpit control panel! It comes with all kinds of buttons for every function you could think of! The steering wheel comes with the standard buttons which allow volume and radio changes with a touch of your hand. Every compartment and section of the car is well-finished and covered with sleek coverings that blend well with the colour tones of the car.

There are 3 different models which are the 2.0l, 2.4l and 3.2l which come with varying additions and features. The 2.0l comes with the standard 2 airbags, the 2.4l with 4 airbags and the 3.2l with a whopping 6 airbags! All models get a five-speed automatic transmission, anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution and brake assist. However, the 2.4l and 3.5l versions get the additional vehicle stability assist, HID headlights with auto levelling, power front seats, cruise control, leather interior, power rear sunshade and 17-inch wheels.

The 3.5l comes in fully imported from Thailand while the other two are locally assembled. Luxury comes with a price and the models are available at the following prices, on the road with insurance:
