I’ve been away from my little blog due to some training I attended in the Parkroyal Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

The Parkroyal KL is one of the 5-star hotels in Kuala Lumpur and if I recall correctly, has been recently refurbished to be even better and brighter. It is conveniently located right in the Golden Triangle of Kuala Lumpur and is a stone’s throw away from the famous and popular malls on Bukit Bintang such as Lot 10 Shopping Centre and Starhill Gallery.

The function rooms for seminars or training are located on both the Lower Lobby and second floors and come in many different sizes to fit groups of any sizes. The room we were given was comfortable with adequate lighting and was done up in a soothing green skirting for the tables. Mints and water was constantly provided throughout the day together with paper and pens for our notes.

We were given 2 tea breaks every day of our training session which were a combination of sweet and savoury cakes and snacks, both local and international. A buffet lunch was provided in the nearby Chatz Brasserie and a set lunch in their famous Si Chuan Chinese restaurant was provided for the two days. Their Si Chuan Dou Hua restaurant is famous for spicy Si Chuan cuisine and has a really entertaining tea-pouring display by their waiter!

I’m not too sure how much their meeting packages usually cost but a quick check on their website indicated that they are priced at approximately RM150 per person for a full day meeting which includes 2 tea breaks and a buffet/set lunch. So the next time you’re looking for an appropriate meeting location, do consider Parkroyal!
