Cheap Furniture at Cavenzi

Malaysia has always been well known for its cheap furniture and is one of the leading furniture hubs in Asia and the world. This definitely works to our advantage as we are spoilt for choice where furniture is concerned. Furniture malls are easily found everywhere and acts as a great one-stop furniture centre for those we are setting up their first home or simply want to replace old furniture.
One popular furniture company is Cavenzi which never fails to pepper the pages of the newspapers with their cheap furniture. They have approximately 12 years of experience in the furniture business and manufacture furniture for both the local and export market. Hence, some products that you see which are priced slightly higher may actually be of export quality.
Their showrooms are available almost everywhere and in every furniture mall and has a rather good selection of furniture on display for you to make your choice. The bigger outlets will usually have more designs so if you are looking for choices, do head for their bigger furniture outlets.
They do have a wide range of furniture, ranging from leather sofas, wooden bed frames and bedroom sets which are always sold at very competitive prices. To be careful, however, as based on some past experience, cheap furniture may not necessarily be the best furniture.
A friend who purchased a leather sofa from Cavenzi once was disappointed to find that it was rather poorly made. On top of that, the sofa become soft very quickly and soon became less comfortable. However, another friend who purchased a wooden bed frame from them at a bargain price of RM159 was very happy with the frame as it was made of solid wood.
If you are looking for cheap furniture within your budget, do give Cavenzi a try. You might be surprised at what you might find there for a good price. With prices such as this, who wouldn’t be tempted to change their furniture?

My experience with Cavenzi….. horrible!!!!
I had a very bad experience with them, especially the salesman named KIM, from Johor , Pandan branch!!
After price negotiation and placing orders, he said he will monitor the delivery for me. I requested the delivery on 14th of June between 3 – 4pm.
Me and my wife waited on 14th of June from 3pm till 8pm and yet no delivery and updates from him.
Kim made us lots of empty promises, keep asking us to wait patiently and everything will be settled but the outcome was, we waited stupidly for 4 hours and we need to keep calling him for updates and no the other way round.
We made a deal that since it was not possible to send to us, make it on the next Monday and he said he promised everything will be taking care of.
MONDAY, I called him up at 5pm to confirm again because of the bad experience. He told me everything was settled and the delivery time was 6:30.
I reach my new house,
and I waited !!! from 6:30 till 7:30pm. Try to call him but guess what , been dodging my call.
I finally get through the Sales – manager Miss Liza and she was kind enough to settle the problem for me by sending the furniture the next day with confirm date and time!!
To Cavenzi, you claim that is your salesmen attitude problem, but to us is the Cavenzi image itself!!!
Other than incresing the sales, please hire someone with good attitudes and responsibility!!
Thanks!!!
PE says: Hi, thanks for dropping by. Sorry to hear about your bad experience but I do agree that the service industry here can definitely be improved! I hope Cavenzi takes note of this!

Omg,after rejected by the sales person for the goods delivery schedule, i try to find Cavenzi at the website then saw the above horrible comment regarding Cavenzi.
I got the nearly same experience which now happening in the Johor Pandan branch too, the different is i not yet receive the goods.(hopefully can receive this saturday).
Last friday night,i personally go to the Cavenzi which located at the Pandan, Johor to confirm with them the actual delivery time i want( 29 nov 08).But the person say he cant confirm to me whether their warehouse got stock or not at that time ,he only can check to the warehouse on monday. So request me to call them on monday to confirm.
I did it on monday, unfortunately he unable to confirm then say maybe need to wait either wed or thursday.(Cavenzi policy is when you purchase the goods, you need to pay 50 percent as deposit, the balance have to settle before deliver.)
Again, wednesday i make a call to him, he say he has the goods in hand, then i promise to him will settle the payment on friday night then request them to deliver the goods on saturday. But this time he say after settle the full payment need to wait about 3 days for delivery.
After read the comment above, i wondering should i settle the payment or ask for money back(might not be possible)? Seems like their promise will keep changing and the terms and condition also vary from time to time.I buy a sofa set and come with a 6 years warranty, base on the situation now will they taken some action if the sofa set damage under warranty period?
So now i think i need to find the sales manager Ms Lisa too to settle my problem. The above comment is posted on 18 June 08, hopefully after five months time the same bad experice wounldn’t happend on me again.Wish me good luck to receive the goods on schedule.

Seems like that is their regular problem of making empty promises *_*”’
Never go to Cavenzi if you are going to buy any furniture which is important and must get it on time. They seems to have the possibility of (1) miss out your order and (2) change the delivery date even after promised and confirmed. Of cause I am not saying that all their branches have the same issues. But the one which I had this very bad experience is their branch in Johor Bahru.
I bought a bedroom set during their promotion period in December and the salesgirl promised to delivery the furniture 2 weeks after the date of purchase. What shocking me was, I called them 1 day before the actual delivery date just wanted to confirm roughly the time the furniture will reach my house. Surprisingly, the lady told me that she could not give me an answer for that. She said the driver will call.
Thats fine, the next day I was patiently waited for the call and so excited about the arrival of the new furniture but I started to lost my patience when the clock was showing that it was about 5:00pm and yet I got no call from them. So, I called to the shop and again I was shocked and given a very negative answer and the guy talked like my order was never keyed-in in their system.
In my mind I thought, Are they miss out my order??? You answer me. He told me that he would arrange the delivery to another day which means I had to wait for another 3 days. What made me really mad was, they called me on the next day and again told me that the delivery had to be postponed, again, to a later date. I had to wait longer and longer and longer.
Conclusion is I waited for almost a month in order to get the furniture. Can you imagine that if it was the furniture that you bought for your new house or it’s a gift to some one that you care a lot?????
I did insisted to get my furniture after the first time they changed the date but they gave a lot of excuses and made it sounds like it was an impossible mission for them to get me the furniture. After such a big disappointment, I have totally lost faith and trust in Cavenzi.
Cavenzi or not? You make your own judgement.

@Lois: Yikes! What unreliable service! Personally, I find Cavenzi’s quality terribly lacking and wouldn’t recommend them despite their cheap prices.

If only i had read this earlier i would have avoided cavenzi like plague. Now i am joining the list of disgrunted customers.
I bought a cabinet set from them on the 24thDec 08 and was told that it could only be delivered on the 31st Dec 08.
God knows why they need such a long time.Anyway called the warehouse this morning and they could not confirm the time of delivery.Someone did calll later and agreed to deliver between 1 and 2pm.
It is now 6.15pm and no sign of the delivery man.
Made many calls to the warehouse and sales office and i must say that staffs attitude are horrendous and rude.
Never again cavenzi no matter what price and newspapers should stop writing about firms with such unreliable business ethics.
Maybe we should consider protecting cosumers against such
unscrupluous outlets.

Yep. I would have avoided them like a plague too. All I bought was an interesting looking shoe rack/cabinet since 4th January 2009. I have received 3 phone calls about the delivery and now on the 12 January 2009. Nothing. Calling the outlet (Tesco Extra Plentong) is useless. Either it is engaged or no one answers. Apparently they will only deliver according to their time. The first phone call I received was at 12 noon asking to deliver at 6.00 p.m. When told that the condo I live in do not allow deliveries after 5.00 pm, that was the end of that. I’ll never custom or even buy from Cavenzi ever again. I’ll go back to Lotten somewhere near Permas. They promised in 2 days. They delivered in 2 days. Nice people too.

Hi Asiah – You can try their website
May 26th, 2009 at 12:51 pm
I am facing a very terrible service from Cavenzi as well. I do not want to complaint on the quality (the quality really bad & not same as sample in showroom). I get as what i paid, i accept it.
But for the delivery, really make me mad. I call to the showroom to confirm delivery date. They say only able to send on week day. I purposely take 1 day leave to waiting for the furniture (11/05/09). They confirmed will deliver around 12 ~ 1pm. At the end, they only start their journey from 12pm. Fine! This not a problem. i can wait for it. Can u imagine, from 12pm, they reach my house around 4.30pm. My house in Kepong & their store in Balakong. They saying they do not know the location, but, the driver never call to ask for direction until i them to ask for their location (that time is 3pm). They say they somewhere around Sg. Buloh. We wait until 4pm, never see them turn up then no choice & call them again! They still there! From Sg. Buloh come to Kepong not even more than 30mins! We got no choice & drive our own car & bring them come to our house. Before everything unload, the driver & worker ask for food & drink! Saying hungry la, this & that! We’re waiting for them also never take any lunch! We also hungry + a bit mad on their service. This still not big problem, we ordered for 1 bedroom set, 1 sofa & 1 TV rack. They say the sofa got problem & only will deliver after 3 days (14/05/09). We understand for the unwanted situation & allow them to deliver after 3 days. This my nightmare start.
After 3 days, no sofa come. Call to deliver dept & say will deliver on next week monday evening (18/05/09). Fine, we wait in our new house on Monday (we purposely go to new house again for the sofa only). The sofa also not arrived. Call to delivery dept & ask where is the Sofa. They say only can deliver on Friday! Gosh!!! My house warming held on Friday! We warning them is a must to send it on Friday (22/05/09) & they promised. Haha!!! We are so naive & trust them. At the end, from friday morning we follow up or the sofa until night!!! They told me no stock. End up, our guest all sitting on the floor!!!!
We ask for refund because they fail to deliver goods to us! Customer service keep on saying call us back! A last, 9.00pm (friday), one of the supervisor, Alvin, promised to refund to us & he say will call us back. After this, he never call us back!!!!
Now, we very angry & plan to lodge a report to tribunal.

I have the same problem too. I bought a bedroom set for my wedding at Cavenzi Plentong, the one in Tesco Extra, and they send the bed without the mattress, after missing the delivery two times. After I complain, they say they do not have the stock. They want me to come back and choose another mattress. When I ask for my money to be returned (I already paid full in cash) they want to pay me back in check that will be able to be cashed in 4 days, my wedding in ten days. How, am I going to find another mattress in 6 days?? If you don’t believe my story you can call me at 0197744583.

Yes, I 110% agreed with u all cuz I also facing the same problem with u all.I regreted that I never check about this Cavenzi background first… Last 3 months ago i’ve bought a bedroom set at this Pandan, Johor Bahru branch and the same thing that u all been experience….the delivery r verrrrrry poor commitment, everytime make people waiting and somemore delivered not complete. Then after the delivery I’ve notice that the wardrobe have scratches and I ask them for replacement. Also need to waiting and waiting until around 2 weeks time, they just replace the wardrobe but another problem occur….the size of the new wardrobe smaller than the current one cuz I’ve notice during close the sliding door it get hook with my clothes and cuzing everytime my shirt get crumple or torn when I close the door ….I don’t know what they all doing???????When I ask the guy why like this, he said new model all the design like this.I don’t want create an argument, so I let this guy fix the wardrobe first. After the next day I tried to call to the office but unfortunately nobody answer my call. Then I start to feedback to their customer serviced department thru their websites and always a lady name Mala reply my enquiry but everytime I get empty promises…She reply to me that she shall asked the Pandan branch to call me but until to this day I’ve not received their call!!!!!!!!!!!!!!2X5=sama sahaja…so u all people out there, pls think many many times before u make ur decision to buy any of their product as what I’ve been told to all my friends.PRICE DO THE TAKING but COMMITMENT IS ANOTHER THING!!

After I read these negative comments here, I felt nervous at first because 3 months earlier, I’ve made my booking of CAVENZI furniture products to full furbishing my new house.
I’ve booked to lock the promotion prices as told by the sales person, MARK at Puchong Kinrara showroom. I think he kinda professional in his line of work because he asked me so many question about my new house like type, size, even drew my new house layout plan and advise me how to style my house with CAVENZI furniture. I wonder if he is an interior advisor for CAVENZI just like the famous ERIC LEONG??!!Anyhow, keep up the good work!
Then, a month ago, I saw the sofa set’s price that I booked, exactly the same set and it was lower than my booked price. So I went back to show MARK my invoice purchase value and ask him if I can get the present price same as shown on the advertisement. Without any hesitation, he let me to enjoy the present price shown!! Well done! The price do the talking indeed. But, lucky me that I always see their advertisements on the STAR newspaper because I am thinking of adding more furniture to style my new house. If I miss that one, sure I cannot enjoy extra saving of the price I’ve paid.
Now, I got all my furniture that I’ve pre-ordered and my new house look cool with their modern designs. Quality yes, a bit not upto my requirement but what can I expect? I pay peanut of course I get peanut in return. Anyway, I feel happy to furnish my house with CAVENZI furniture because modern designed furniture at my affordable prices (I’m kinda tight budget for some reason). But, if I have handsome budget, sure I go for something famous like LORENZO.
Though many here had bad experiences with CAVENZI, I felt sorry for them. Well.. I guess I’m the LUCKY ONE!
Thanks CAVENZI and MARK for making my home with inexpensive modernly styled!

well.. no prob for my wife + i. bought a leather sofa set + bed frame + mattress. salesman at cavenzi HQ (balakong, near jusco cheras selatan) were also ok, nice n friendly. we even get the ottoman for free eventhough we were supposed to buy it separately (coz of the discounted price).
if u r from slgr, better go straight to the HQ.. there, u can choose any fabric/color that u want for ur sofa/bedframe/etc.
yup, quality is kinda low.. if u compare with lorenzo! but it depends on which model u r gonna purchase. just don’t lasak-lasak la..
not many shop out there selling AFFORDABLE modern contemporary furniture. that’s why i choose cavenzi.
like ACE, if budget permits.. i’ll go for lorenzo too.. so for people who complains bout their quality, can u guys tell me where can i get MODERN tv rack/dining set/coffee table/display cabinet around RM200 – RM1500 each..

Horrible Experience!!! LET THE DIFFERENT PRICE DO THE TALKING!!! I went to the branch at Taman Daya near Setia just window shopping and was told by the indian sales man that after discount the bar set I wanted can be RM$599 with delivery. The next day when I go back to confirm the purchase, the price is back up at RM$699. Then he remember the price he quoted and insist that he can do the deal at RM$599 but we have to pay RM$60 for delivery fee. I spoke to the same guy!!! I really wanted to buy but he really killed the deal. Instead I bought at one stop furniture in Austin Boulevard. The purchase experience is really wonderful. FORGET CAVENZI! I thought it was only at the Taman Daya store, but looking at the review from this site and others, WOW!

Alamak, luckily I don’t order from them, maybe I’ll try Lorenzo.
Kayu getah is ok but is not good as Jati or teak. You will get what you pay. Under RM1000, is kayu getah, above RM2000 is Jati/teak.
