De Beaute Spa Kuala Lumpur
Do you love spas? I do but it is usually quite difficult to find good and reasonably priced spas in Kuala Lumpur. So naturally, I was thrilled when I was offered the chance to try a free spa at De Beaute which was previously located in Lot 10, KL. They have since shifted to PJ.
De Beaute Spa & Slimming Centre originated from Singapore and has been around since 2001 and specialize in all kinds of beauty treatments and wellness services to pamper the busy woman of today.
Their salon is done up in a really distinctive style. You are required to remove your shoes at the entrance when you enter. It is a mainly Thai deco with lots of gold and shiny ornaments all around. Their main reception looks a little like their Singapore one below and to the side are small consultation rooms with comfortable chairs and cushions.
You will be taken behind a sliding door to the spa area where there are quite a number of individual and couple spa rooms. They actually have a couple room available with two beds and a shared jacuzzi for couples who wish to have their spa treatment together.
The one I went for came with a scrub, jacuzzi soak, massage and candling. It started off with a really good scrub that left my skin tingling. I was then asked to shower before using the jacuzzi which was really relaxing. They even placed candles and aromatherapy pots all around the jacuzzi which made it even more tranquil and calming. That was followed by a massage which did a really good job of working out my tense muscles and pain in my shoulders caused by bad posture at the computer desk. Their therapists were quite skilful in massaging according to the strength you want them to use.
My spa session finished up with a candling where I had the option of doing an ear candling or navel candling. This was a really interesting experience as I had never done candling before! It started by them lighting a special candle made up of a type of paper which they gently placed in your ear or navel. The candle was then left to burn and at the end of it, she unrolled it to show us the gunk that was extracted by the candle! Apparently, constant candling might actually help to remove aches and pains and improve one’s health!
They have other spa packages, some of which comes with a nice soak in a hydrobath which looked really nice.
They used to have cheap spa packages which were as cheap as RM1,280 for 10 sessions. Like most beauty salons, they do have packages and promotions every now and then so do look out for them!
