The balik kampong exodus for the Hari Raya festivities has started as of last night and tonight and tomorrow will probably be a really busy day on the roads. PLUS has put in lots of measures to ensure a safe and smooth journey for everyone and to ensure everyone arrives home safely to spend the Hari Raya holidays with their loved ones.

So, as a community message, here are some tips on the PLUS highway to look out for:

  • Additional third lanes have been opened on the southbound section, between Seremban and Ayer Keroh while the northbound section is from Tanjung Malim to Rawang.
  • A contra flow has been activated between Rawang and Tanjung Mali from 3 pm on 10 October to 12 midnight on 14 October.
  • Do remember to make regular stops if you’re tired at the Rest and Service Area.
  • Free coffee is provided at all Petronas stations at the Rest and Service Areas so do stop for a coffee break.
  • Do keep in mind the speed limit of 80km/hr on some stretches of the highway and always keep a lookout for the police speed radar detectors.
  • Finally, call 1800-88-0000 for assistance on the highway or to get the latest traffic updates.
