Mendoza Trolley Bag
I had quite a number of overseas assignments this year and when I was asked to go at very short notice, I panicked because I didn’t own any luggage sets to pick and choose bags of varying sizes from! All I had was my little Mendoza canvas trolley bag which I had come across, where it lay forgotten, in a dusty dark corner of the old office which I’ve subsequently claimed as mine. Luckily for me, my trips were short trips which lasted less than a week so my little trolley bag served me well.
It’s a great lightweight bag with wheels that run very smoothly. I love the fact that it’s so light so I get almost all of the luggage weight allocated instead of getting “cheated” out of some weight because of the weight of the bag. The weight also means that it’s easier for me, a small single female passenger, to heave my bags off and on conveyor belts without too much trouble. It doesn’t look very big and I was fooled into thinking that it wouldn’t fit much until I took it for my first trip. Surprisingly enough, it managed to fit all my clothes and my laptop together with some documents comfortably! It even left me enough space to bring back souvenirs although it was close to bursting point by then!
There are nice mesh pockets on the top part of the bag so I don’t end up forgetting to remove stuff and the front pocket that goes all the way down the length of the bag is simply perfect for stuffing in my bedroom slippers that I carry everywhere as a precaution against dirty hotel room floors. It’s a small bag but it has taken me to Africa, Kazakhstan, China, Bali and UK! Go, little bag!
I couldn’t find a picture of it but it slightly resembles this Kenneth Cole luggage. Ah, if only I could afford a Kenneth Cole one right now!
