I have very fine and limp baby hair that never grew up although the rest of me did! This makes certain hairstyles impossible as my hair simply cannot take it. I used to use all kinds of off-the-shelf shampoo when I was a poor student and wonder why my hair used to feel horrid. That was until my regular hairdresser who used Redken shampoo suggested I try it after hearing my countless complains about my hair.

It is an expensive salon shampoo and I initially had reservations about splurging so much for a shampoo. However, when I tried it for the first time, I was sold! This particular one called Body Full was specially designed for people with hair just like mine! It gives my hair a nice body and lovely shine unlike some previous brands that made my hair feel oily and heavy. Although it retails at approximately RM35 to RM40 a bottle, I found that I had to use only very little as the little bit did a great job in cleaning my hair without stripping it of its natural oils. The shampoo coats each strand of hair to give it volume and thickness so you end up having nice bouncey hair with body.

I couldn’t bring my shampoo along when I was traveling and had to resort to using cheaper shampoo and hotel shampoo and I noticed the difference it made to my hair. My hair ended up feeling like twigs in some cases and in others, it got rather oily and even more limp! Being able to wash it with Redken again made me feel so clean and nice! Plus it leaves a nice green tea fragrance which makes me feel really relaxed.

I use this shampoo with the same Body Full conditioner which makes my hair feeling nice and soft and helps me keep away split ends. In fact, the conditioner was voted one of the top brands by Cleo Malaysia magazine last year.

My shampoo and conditioner supply is finishing soon and I was wondering if I should spend so much to get another lot. I’m not sure but since I have only one head of hair, I guess it might just be worth it! ;)
