A friend recently acquired a new set of golf clubs and asked me along to his boss’ golf club, Kelab Golf Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (KGSAAS), to test them out. I eagerly followed. Any chance to review something new is a great opportunity!

The KGSAAS is located in Shah Alam, approximately 30km away from KL City. It is a huge 27-hole club with beautifully landscaped courses to cater for the avid golfer. A unique feature they have is night golfing at all 27-holes for golfers who prefer playing out of the harsh sun in the afternoons. I tried my hand at playing but found it surprisingly difficult to hold a golf club and to hit the ball! People always seem to make it so easy but it actually involves a lot of concentration and skill to just hit the ball!

I got bored after a while and decided to explore the place a little. They had a nice pro shop filled with top range golf clubs and all kinds of branded golf apparel for both men and women. I found the golf apparel ladies wear rather fashionable and nice in sweet pastel shades of yellow and pink. I wouldn’t mind wearing them even as a non-golfer! We finished up at the restaurant within the club where the food was pretty good. It had a great view of the golf course and it was a very relaxing way to end the evening.

So if you’re looking for a nice golf course outside KL, KGSAAS is a great place to tee off!
