When my sis was moving into her new house, we used to accompany her to look for home furniture which was affordable yet nice to look at. I didn’t use to think much of the big furniture malls we often see lining our highway but after accompanying her on a few trips, I realised that they are actually a really good place to start if you’re looking at furnishing your home.

For a start, they have everything under one roof, from mattresses to beds and wardrobes. Often, these malls bring together different shops and different brands which provides the customer with lots of choices. So if you don’t like what you see in this shop, simply hop over to its next-door neighbour and you might find something you prefer there. It provides a good basis for price comparisons too which helps to keep the prices competitive. You’ll be surprised at how cheap some of the furniture can be there. I’ve seen solid wood double beds going for only less than RM200 before!

So don’t just head for the specialised furniture shops if you’re furniture hunting. Give the furniture malls a try too and you might find everything you’ll need for your house at a very reasonable price!
